As the name of the Bushnell Natureview series suggests, the 8×42 Natureview binoculars were chiefly designed for birdwatching and wildlife observation and on some websites, I have even seen them called “Bushnell 8×42 Birder Natureview Binoculars, but I think that because of their very aggressive prices, they also make fantastic all purpose binoculars..
Bushnell 8×42 Birder Natureview Binoculars are the most popular size for bird watching binoculars, as they offer a good compromise between size, brightness and a first-class magnification and field of view, important for quickly spotting those fat moving birds. If you also plan to use your binoculars for viewing birds at longer distances and/or wildlife viewing (safari binoculars), you may as well consider the Bushnell 10×42 NatureView Binoculars.

The exclusive selling point of these Steiner 12×30 Wildlife Pro binoculars is the inspiring 12x magnification, which is the largest zoom in the Wildlife pro series from Steiner. But it is important to keep in mind that good or even great binoculars are more than just about the strength of their zoom.
The first thing that you may notice is the Steiner 12×30 Wildlife Pro binoculars slightly different body design to the other binoculars in Steiner’s Wildlife pro Series. This is partly due to the increased magnification from the others like the Steiner 8.5×26 Wildlife Pro Binoculars, but they also characteristic profiled eyecups with a really good long eye-relief which allows for relaxed viewing but which also fold down easy for eyeglass use.

Sometimes known as the MINOX BV 8×42 BR binoculars, the BV range of binoculars from excellence German optic manufacturer MINOX are their “value for money” binoculars. So if you are looking for a quality pair of binoculars, but are on a budget, these make an excellent choice as the 8×42 BV’s still posses many of the features of the more posh optics from MINOX, yet at a fraction of the cost.
The 18mm of eye relief on the MINOX BV 8×42 BR binoculars is pretty good quality and features rubber eyecups that twist up and down to allow for relaxed viewing whether or not you wear eyeglasses. I personally like the rubber eyecups that you fold down, but I don’t wear glasses and on the down side the constant rolling up and down of the eyecup means that they will perish, so these will definitely last longer.
