The optics of course are only top shelf, and are ground, polished and prepared for your binoculars by Steiner-Germany’s master lens makers. Steiner’s fast-focus scheme brings distance to close-focus in somewhat less than one full revolution of the ultra precise focus wheel, with an astonishing close focus distance of only 5.2’ for the 8×42 (6.0 for the 10×42).
