The Steiner Predator 10×42/12×42 Predator C5 binoculars were developed as a special tool for hunters and nature observers to more straightforwardly pick out animals in a woodland setting. Developed about 10 years ago, the idea is straightforward - increase the transmission of red and brown shades (the “right” side of the color range towards infrared) while slightly dropping transmission of the “left” side of the range (blue, green and UV light) to make animals and other items “pop out” of the background.
Each Steiner Predator 10×42/12×42 Predator C5 binoculars includes a padded travel case, rain protector or the oculars and the attached objective lens caps, along with a contoured neck strap. Optional harness systems are also available. Each binocular is equipped with a tripod mount and a tripod adapter is obtainable.
